The Restaurant

One of the delights of a visit is to dine in the Bodkin restaurant. This has been completely remodelled and air conditioned to provide a relaxing atmosphere where the emphasis is on informality. We also take great pride in the excellence of our food and the quality of our service.
We strive to serve dishes based on the best local and organic ingredients with regular ‘specials’ and a range of vegetarian options. Your food is complemented by an extensive wine list.

From January 2007 Peter Sawers joined us as Head Chef. Peter possesses an exceptional talent having held very senior positions at The Connaught & Wiltons restaurant in London’s West End.

Three new menus
Peter has created three completely new menus to give customers the widest possible choice. You can now choose from an ‘off the wall’ bar menu, a daily two course special at £9.95 and an à la carte menu which changes weekly.

Newly refurbished dining areas
We’ve changed more than just the food. The bar has been refurnished with oak and pine to provide informal eating adjacent to the grounds and children’s play area.
The conservatory offers a brasserie style area for teas coffees and business oriented meals. The restaurant now also incorporates a dedicated lounge area for guests.

The Bodkin bar is a gem with oak panelling, an enormous inglenook and flag stone floors.

We carry an extensive stock
with a wide range of single malts, local real ales and, of course, the Bodkin’s famous ‘off the wall’ bar meals.

The bar is a popular rendezvous throughout the year. In winter a roaring fire is a central attraction whilst in summer the adjoining sun deck is a favourite place for a drink or to dine al fresco.

Bodkin's bar is the ideal place to forget your cares and relax over a pre-dinner drink or to enjoy a delicious bar meal.
