The Gardens

The gardens at Bodkin House have been enhanced by the construction of an attractive sun deck and terrace. These are ideal spots to sit out for a drink or meal while children enjoy the play area in full view of their parents.

Bodkin house is blessed with a unique location and three acres of beautiful grounds. Over recent years extensive landscape architecture and plantation have created gardens which provide a very popular additional amenity for our guests.

You can now enjoy a quiet drink or an al fresco meal on the sun deck, take tea on the tea lawn, relax for a while in one of the many sunny corners or simply stroll around the grounds.
 

A particularly attractive feature is the new water garden. Created by a top garden designer it features two ponds, three water falls and two streams. After sunset subtle lighting enhances the nocturnal colours.
 

Positioned in a sunny hot spot to the east of the house the water garden is the ideal place to sit and take the worries of the world off your shoulders.
 

Thinking of sun you’ll also enjoy our new conservatory and the patio complex to which it adjoins. Wicker chairs and bistro styling make this the ideal spot for breakfast, morning coffee or afternoon tea. Whilst the full air conditioning keeps the temperature perfect all year.
 

Younger guests are not forgotten. There’s plenty of lawn space for them and they can also enjoy their own designated play area, safely in full view of their parents.
